Talk openly and respectfully with families about what they want to achieve and what Child Safety needs them to achieve.
The family should understand the plan, and feel confident they can achieve the goals. If they are not, then look at what needs to be done differently.
Regularly ask these questions:
- Who is driving this plan?
- What will ensure everyone is invested in this case plan?
- Whose case plan is this?
- Have the worries been clearly stated?
- Is the case plan working to create change for the child?
