Use this procedure to:
- assess and recommend the most appropriate type of child protection order
- prepare an affidavit
- participate in child protection proceedings.
Child Safety has a responsibility to protect a child, if the child does not have a parent able and willing to protect them from significant harm. Where the child’s need for safety and protection cannot be met by providing another type of ongoing intervention, Child Safety will recommend the DCPL seek an application for the appropriate child protection order.
