As with adults, the reasons why some children experience mental health issues is complex and affected by biological, psychological and social factors. It is important to put a child’s mental health difficulties in the context of what else is happening for them and consider how this might link to the child’s mental health and wellbeing. Remember that each child processes experiences in their own unique way.
