This part will help you:

  • understand the importance of encouraging and supporting the participation of children and family members in significant decisions and the decision making process
  • understand the role and functions of the independent person
  • understand and engage in a family-led decision making process
  • work with the Family Participation Program to support and promote self-determination and participation of families in planning and decision making.
