In this part you will:
- develop your understanding of the direct and indirect ways alcohol and other drugs use affects a child and puts them at risk
- know what to look for when assessing risk related to a parent’s problematic alcohol and other drugs use
- learn what questions to ask and how to talk with children and parents to assess risk
- develop your understanding of a child’s resilience and a family’s strengths, resources and acts of protection and how to include this in your risk assessment.
